Hey my friend, good morning to you! Well, we officially approved the design for the kitchen. They will be emailing me a copy next week and I can't wait to share it with you! Our contractor has to come by and double check one last measurement and we're good to go! Both exciting and scary at the same time. It's a big undertaking, but we are so excited. I think the hardest thing will be doing without a kitchen sink for several weeks. I don't think it will slow down recipe development. I'm hoping to spend time at Mom and Dad's and cook over there. I'm thinking construction will begin the first part of June. Start to finish we're looking at 8-12 weeks. It's a long time, but it will be wonderful when it's finished. Eyes on the prize, right?!!! I'll keep you posted. Now onto the good stuff, who's hungry? Easy eatsSlow Cooker Shredded Beef - Fall-apart tender and packed with rich, savory flavor, this easy slow cooker beef is made for piling high on sandwiches or serving over mashed potatoes. Turkey Chili Loaded with Veggies – Hearty, cozy, and full of good-for-you ingredients, this turkey chili sneaks in plenty of veggies while still bringing big, bold flavor to the table. Poor Man's Casserole – A creamy, cheesy, budget-friendly classic with egg noodles and ground beef that turns simple pantry staples into a comforting dinner everyone will ask for again. Crockpot Salisbury Steak Meatballs – Juicy meatballs simmered in a rich, savory gravy that tastes like a homestyle favorite without all the fuss. Copycat Spaghetti Hamburger Helper Recipe – A one-pot dinner that delivers that nostalgic, beefy, cheesy pasta flavor you remember—only better and made from scratch. Boursin Orzo Bake – Creamy, garlicky orzo baked with herbed Boursin cheese for a cozy side (or meatless main) that feels just a little fancy without any extra work. Mornings don't need to be complicated to feel goodThese smoothies are quick to blend, easy to love, and packed with flavor that keeps you going without slowing you down. Whether you’re craving something cozy, fruity, or fresh and green, there’s a glass here with your name on it.
And something sweet to finish things off…Chocolate Olive Oil Bundt Cake – Rich, tender, and deeply chocolatey with a subtle fruity note from olive oil that keeps every slice incredibly moist. Homemade Cherry Pie – Buttery, flaky crust filled with sweet-tart cherries that bake into a classic dessert everyone gathers around. Hit play—this one’s worth watching!Taco Hamburger Helper - This cheesy taco-inspired pasta is one of those dinners that saves the day—quick, hearty, and made in one pot for easy cleanup. Click over to YouTube to watch how it all comes together and see just how simple it is to get this on the table. Mom's Amazon recommendationThere are affiliate links below. It helps keep the coffee flowing so I can keep sharing the recipes you love! My mom has these rechargeable LED Rechargeable Light Strips tucked under her cabinets, and I swear they might be her favorite “little upgrade” in the whole kitchen. No wiring, no fuss—just stick them in place and they’re ready to go. They light up the second you walk by, which is a game-changer for late-night snack runs or early mornings when you don’t want to flip on the big lights. Simple, practical, and one of those things you don’t realize you needed until you have them. Thanks so much for being here—I truly appreciate your support. That’s it for me today, and I hope you found a few delicious ideas to try! Talk soon! 🧡

Hello and Happy Sunday! One of my favorite parts of sharing recipes isn't the food—it's the people. Over the years, so many of you have become friends, and I love getting the chance to share a little more of the stories behind Bowl Me Over. This week, I had the chance to put together something especially close to my heart—a Community Spotlight featuring my mom, who will soon be celebrating her 85th birthday! Looking through family photos and sharing a few stories brought back so many...
